چکیده

Abstract The membrane current $$I_m$$ I m of the Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) cardiac Purkinje fiber (CPF) model is usually calculated as direct (DC). In this paper, a conventional alternating (AC) used, namely $$I_{AC} = \textrm{Asin}(2 \pi ft)$$ AC = Asin ( 2 π f t ) , impressed injection. Dynamic characters with different AC parameters and various initial conditions are observed through phase plane orbits, waveforms, bifurcation diagrams, Lyapunov exponent spectra, which reveal multiple coexisting action potential patterns, corresponding to attractors same or periods in diagram. Meanwhile, undergoes period, quasi-period local forward inverse period-doubling bifurcations changes amplitude A frequency f further proves complex nonlinear property AC-injected model. addition, by changing external sodium-ion potassium-ion equilibrium potentials, i.e. $$E_{Na}$$ E Na $$E_{K}$$ K respectively, regularity CPF heartbeat observed. state transformations found between normal, abnormal sudden arrest, method adjusting from dangerous normal range investigated. This study may provide reference for exploring evolution dynamics HH protecting health life heart.

Minimizing the Hodgkin-Huxley Model

Memristor (memory resistor) is a passive electrical circuit element whose instantaneous resistance depends not only on the voltage, but the history of the current applied to it. The first memristor was fabricated in 2008 by the HP labs in a semiconductor titanium-dioxide thin film. Apart from its potential for high-density memory storage, the electrical properties of a memristor share similarit...

The Transient Behavior of LC and Ring Oscillators under External Frequency Injection

In this work, time domain analysis is used to solve Adler’s equation in order to obtain the required time, for an oscillator under external injection, reaching the steady-state condition. Mathematical approach has been applied to fully describe the transient of frequency acquisition in injection-locked LC and Ring oscillators considering their time-varying nature. Then, the analysis is verifie...

Chaos in the Hodgkin-Huxley Model

The Hodgkin–Huxley model was developed to characterize the action potential of a squid axon. It has served as an archetype for compartmental models of the electrophysiology of biological membranes. Thus the dynamics of the Hodgkin–Huxley model have been extensively studied both with a view to their biological implications and as a test bed for numerical methods that can be applied to more compl...

Analysis and control of the bifurcation of Hodgkin–Huxley model

The Hodgkin–Huxley (HH) equations are parameterized by a number of parameters and show a variety of qualitatively different behaviors depending on the various parameters. This paper finds the bifurcation would occur when the leakage conductance gl is lower than a special value. The Hopf bifurcation of HH model is controlled by applying a simple and unified state-feedback method and the bifurcat...

Simulating Spiking Neurons by Hodgkin Huxley Model

The Hodgkin Huxley model of the biological neuron is numerically solved in Java, using both an Euler and a 4 order Runge Kutta method. The theory behind the Hodgkin Huxley model is described and the basic spikes are investigated using a graphical program developed by the authors. This is the first step in a long-term goal to develop a tool in Java to simulate neuron interactions on a larger sca...
